The World Competes

The Vancouver Olympics are only a little over two weeks away, and the final picks for who is going to go are being made. In women’s figure skating, Rachael Flatt and Mirai Nagasu will be representing the United States. For the men, Jeremy Abbot, Evan Lysacek, and Johnny Weir will be competing for Team USA. The two pairs teams that will be skating for the United States include Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett, and Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig. US ice dancers to represent Team USA include Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto, and Emily Samuelson and Evan Bates.

In men’s snowboarding, Shaun White will be returning for another Olympic opportunity, Louie Vito will be making his Olympic debut, and Scotty Lago will also be representing the United States for the first time. For the women, Team USA will be bringing back former medalists for another chance. Kelley Clark, Hannah Teter, and Gretchen Bleiler will all be returning.
