Friday was a day for final races. Apolo Ohno won the team bronze in what might be his last Olympic race, while Sarah Schleper raced in the slalom.
Lindsey Vonn crashes and doesn’t get a second gold (today at least), but Julia Mancuso does get a second silver. Evan Lysacek wins figure skating gold, while Hannah Teter and Kelly Clark win half pipe silver and bronze.
Day 6 was eventful. Shaun White, Shani Davis, and Lindsey Vonn won big for the United States.
Bode Miller is back on the medals stand with a bronze, Seth Westcott remains the only man with a gold snowboardcross medal, and a Swedish woman gets gold in an individual cross country event for the first time since 1968.
Shaun White is the favorite to win snowboarding gold in the men’s halfpipe event in Torino.
Snow is a concern that is being worked on, the IOC meets, and the Australian athletes may have to take down their kangaroo flag.
